Spokesperson Pakistan Armed Forces Major General Babar Iftikhar said that India has carried out 456 ceasefire violations since the start of the coronavirus pandemic in the country on February 26.

Maj-Gen Babar stated that whenever there have been internal problems in India it has held Pakistan responsible for it.

Addressing a press briefing Director General of Pakistan Army Media Wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar said that India’s attempt to connect Muslims and Pakistan to the spread of the coronavirus has failed.

Spokesperson Pakistan Armed Forces said: “At a time when the entire world is fighting the coronavirus, extremists in India have proved the country is promoting Hindutva and saffron terrorism.

“Saffronisation of the Indian military and polity is a sad spectre and ill-suited during the current circumstances,” he said.

DG ISPR said coronavirus cases in Pakistan can surge in next two weeks. He added that strict measures to be taken curb the spread of the deadly virus. DG ISPR said Congratulation on commencement of month of Ramadan; this month teaches us patience, gratitude and endurance and care for others.

moreover Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar said that all of the Pakistan Army’s resources are being used to combat the pandemic.

“A smart lockdown and testing, tracing and quarantining will drive our efforts against Covid-19. We will have a targeted lockdown only for virus hotspots and clusters.”

In addition to this he said that the army will extend help in this regard.
