Interior Minister Ijaz Ahmad Shah visited the residence of the Late Pilot Sajjad Gul in Lahore. Ijaz Shah expressed sympathy with Sajjad’s family. He also offered Fatiha for the late pilot.

The Interior Minister Ijaz Shah said that the country has lost national assets in the form of lives in PIA’s plane crash incident. He said that Captain Sajjad’s demise is a great loss not only to the PIA but also for the whole country.

Apart from that, he also said to the family that authorities will conduct a transparent investigation as per the directions given by Prime Minister Imran Khan.

PIA plane crash-PFSA collects DNA samples from 52 victims

The Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA) has collected the DNA samples of 52 victims of the PK8303 flight incident.

PFSA Director-General Dr. Tahir Ashraf said that they had collected DNA samples from Karachi, and have returned to Lahore.

He said, “DNA samples of 52 deceased individuals and their families have been obtained,” “We will start releasing DNA reports after Wednesday.”

The PFSA had reached Karachi to get the samples as the Punjab government had given orders.

Whereas, Sindh Forensic and DNA Laboratory Karachi University informed that families of 67 victims have provided samples.
