More than 100 passengers test positive from COVID-19 after returning from Abu Dhabi

Passengers from Abu Dhabi, who landed at Islamabad airport last week, contract novel Coronavirus infection.

More than 200 passengers landed at Islamabad airport via flight No- EY-321 on April 28.

According to the SOPs set by the government, the passengers were placed in isolation facility to avoid spread of the deadly disease.

The test samples were sent to National Institute of Health (NIH) which shows 100 passengers that have been tested positive.

Moreover, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), has completed preparations to bring back stranded Pakistanis in the United States (US).

The US airport authority allocated slot for PIA special flights.

Whereas, the national airline also completed its preparations for operating 12 flights to the United States.

PIA will operate 12 special flights to the US on different destinations including New York, Chicago and New Jersey to bring back stuck Pakistanis.
