Martyr pilot of PK 8303 Captain Sajjad Gul buried in Lahore

Two members of the PIA crew, Captain Sajjad Gul and flight attendant Farid Ahmed, who were martyred in a plane crash in Karachi two days ago, were buried in Lahore today (May 24).

According to details, the bodies of pilot Capt. Sajjad Gul, flight officer Farid Ahmed and a female passenger Farwa Ali, who were martyred in the plane crash, were flown to Lahore by PIA flight PK8403. Funeral prayers of the members were offered after which the bodies were handed over to the heirs.

The body of Captain Sajjad Gul was brought to his residence in Defense, after which funeral prayers were offered at Jamia Masjid W Block.

On the other hand, the funeral prayers of Flight Officer Farid Ahmed Chaudhry were offered at the Private Housing Society of Harbans Pura.

A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA’s) aircraft that crashed at Karachi’s Model Colony area on May 22, has a total of 107 members on board. Out of which two people miraculously survived.

9 Maham, wife of Major Shehriyar
10 Mohammad Ahmed, son of Syed Jamal Ahmad
11 Muhammad Tahir, son of Abdul
12 Nida Waqas, daughter of Irfan Ullah
13 Shehnaz Parveen, wife of Amanullah Khan
14 Shoaib Raza, son of M. Shareef Raza
15 Syeda Saima Imran, wife of Syed Imran Hasan
16 Waqas Tariq, son of Muhammad Tariq

The other 31 bodies were brought to Civil Hospital, Karachi including six females and 25 males. Twenty-eight have yet to be identified and three have been identified. Namely:

1. Lt Balaj whose body has been shifted to CMH Malir
2. Maj Shehriyar whose body has been shifted to CMH Malir
3. Syed Danish Shah, son of Syed Ahad Shah
