Dr. Shahbaz Gill also said that the Prime Minister believed that the poor people would be more affected by the severe lockdown and in this context, assistance was provided to 12 million families under the Ehsas program.
The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister said that there was no precedent for a relief program like Ehsas, which provided assistance to 2.5 million small families and 5 million unemployed.
Dr. Shahbaz Gill also said that the total number of families in Pakistan is three and a half crore, two to two and a half crore families have been given assistance while 70% of the total population of Pakistan has been given assistance.
