Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved the summary to form an investigation team to probe PIA plane crash mishap.

According to the details, the PM house has written a letter to the secretary aviation division. It asked the investigation team to commence its probe of the PIA plane crash mishap immediately.

“Investigation team should start its work without waiting for the permission of the federal government”, the letter issued to the aviation division reads.

On Friday, At least 97 people have been killed after a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight crashed near Model Colony area of Karachi. Around five homes and some vehicles had been destroyed due to the crash.

The PIA flight PK-8303 took off from Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport at 1:10pm and was scheduled to land in Karachi.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that 97 bodies have been recovered from PIA’s plane crash incident. Whereas, 2 passengers have miraculously survived.

According to the official Tweet by ISPR, Army Search & Rescue team, Army troops Rangers & social welfare organizations are conducting rescue operations at the spot.

In addition to this, ISPR further reported that 25 houses have been cleared. Their residents have been accommodated at various places with the assistance of Civil Administration.

Prime Minister Imran Khan, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Chief of Army Staff had expressed deep grief over the unfortunate mishap.

Later, the investigation team found the black box of the PIA aircraft that crashed yesterday.

According to sources, the investigation team found the black box of the plane that crashed in Karachi. The black box would help in the investigation of the incident.

Senior pilot Tariq Yahya said about the accident that when both the engines failed, a force landing had to be done but the plane was not at a high altitude.

The senior pilot said that from the reports received so far, it seems that there was no power in the plane, however, the actual information will be known from the recording of the black box.
