Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed grief over the incident of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircraft crash.

On Friday he tweeted:

Shocked & saddened by the PIA crash. Am in touch with PIA CEO Arshad Malik, who has left for Karachi & with the rescue & relief teams on ground as this is the priority right now. Immediate inquiry will be instituted. Prayers & condolences go to families of the deceased.

On the other hand, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has also expressed condolences over the tragic incident.

He wrote in his tweet:

Deeply grieved over devastating plane crash in res area flying to Khi & mins away from landing with many making way home for Eid. Terrible tragedy, my prayers with all families. We are in midst of grave challenges as a nation & in these times of trial we must show resolve & unity

Earlier Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa expresses deep sorrow over the unfortunate incident of PIA plane crash which claimed at least 90 lives.

In a Tweet by Director General Inter Services Public relations (DG ISPR), COAS condoles over the loss of precious lives and shares grief of bereaved families in this difficult time.

At least 90 people have died after a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight crashed near Karachi Airport. The airplane crashed over a residential colony.

Federal Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan confirmed that at least 90 people have been killed in PIA plane crash today.

According to reports, the plane had the capacity to carry more than 200 passengers.
