According to the details, Pakistan Tehreek Insaf MPA Shaheen Raza has passed away today due to coronavirus. It emerged that Ms Raza had contracted COVID-19 after paying a visit to a field hospital a few days ago. The PTI provincial lawmaker, Shaheen Raza, was shifted to Mayo Hospital in critical condition.
Earlier, Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker Dost Mohammad Mazari was diagnosed with the virus. He has quarantined himself at his house. Deputy Speaker Dost Mazari has said earlier that he is not showing any symptoms of coronavirus and is in good health. However, he self-isolated himself after the result of tests.
Earlier on April 30, National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser also tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
Let it be known that The number of confirmed deaths in Pakistan due to novel coronavirus has is nearly 1000 with more than 45000 infections.
According to the details, Pakistan confirmed 47 more deaths from coronavirus in one day as nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 987 and positive cases surged to 45,898. National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) said 1,932 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 in 24 hours. According to the national dashboard, 104 new cases were reported in the federal capital while 18 new cases were recorded in AJK.
Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Till now 16,685 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 17,947 in Sindh, 6,554 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 2,885 in Balochistan, 1,138 in Islamabad, 556 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 133 in Azad Kashmir.
