The Punjab government has announced a financial aid package for the artists facing struggle amidst the ongoing Coronavirus crisis.
After the approval from Punjab government, the Punjab Information and Culture Department has started preparing a financial aid package for the artists.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar in a statement on Tuesday said, “The Punjab government will help 3,000 artists.”
He further added that the artists will get financial help of Rs15,000 to Rs20,000.
Earlier, the Punjab government allowed the operation of routine-wised businesses in the province and permitted to open utility stores from 9 am to 8 pm.
All textile industries will get operational soon, while other small businesses, including barbers, will be allowed to work.
Whereas, textile-related industries and small businesses can easily work within the stipulated working hours.
Moreover, Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar had launched “RISE Punjab” Punjab Government’s Social Protection and Economic Revival Response for Post COVID 19.
Chief Minister Office has arranged a high-powered meeting on Government’s plan for Punjab’s future economic growth strategy in response to Post- COVID 19, chaired by CM Punjab at 90 Shahra, Lahore.
However, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Pakistan rose to 21,501 on Tuesday.
