Minister for Federal Educational Minsiter Shafqat Mahmood has launched TeleSchool App to get feedback from parents and students.
As per details, Federal Educational Minister Shafqat Mahmood was speaking at the launching ceremony of the App in Islamabad today. The Minister said App is aimed at providing a two-way SMS platform to parents and students to respond about TeleSchool initiative, taken to impart education, through distance learning, due to closure of educational institutions as a result of Corona outbreak.
Shafqat Mahmood said the App will help prepare a database about people’s responses and queries towards the TeleSchool and contribute in improving the initiative in future. He urged parents and students to provide their maximum response to this programme. The Minister said we are working on developing new content and ways to improve distance learning.
The purpose of airing TeleSchool is to mitigate any effect on academics and ensure that the learning continues during these declared summer vacations till 31st May.
The content so developed has been aligned with students learning objectives of the major subjects of the curriculum prevalent across the Country. The channel will broadcast carefully developed content for class 1 to 12 from 8am to 6pm everyday.The content has been sequenced by the official from Federal Directorate of Education(FDE) and few educational digital content development platforms provided support on pro bono basis.
The channel TeleSchool, broadcast by PTV will be available on satellite, terrestrial and cable networks ensuring that 95% of Pakistan population is able to access the content. It was a thought through exercise in last three weeks., the statement said.
