Adviser to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Ajmal Wazir said that all retail shops that were closed from Friday to Sunday following Supreme Court’s order, will now be opened until Eid.
Addressing a press conference, Ajmal Wazir clarified that the decision was taken after SC has issued orders to reopen shopping malls.
Also, bakeries and home deliveries will be allowed to operate after 5pm, he said.
He told people that the government will lift more restrictions if standard operating procedures are followed.
Earlier in a day, President Dr. Arif Alvi has urged masses to offer Eid Prayers at home in order to curb the spread of novel Coronavirus.
As per details, President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi was addressing ration distribution among Afghan refugees in Islamabad today in wake of COVID-19 pandemic.
While addressing, Dr Arif Alvi said Pakistan wants early and honorable repatriation of Afghan refugees. The President said Pakistan kept its doors open for Afghan brethren, who have been facing war oppression since several decades.
He said Pakistan wants early and durable peace in Afghanistan. He said we provided same facilities and cooperation to Afghan refugees extended to our own citizens to protect them from coronavirus.
Moreover, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah confirmed on Wednesday that the province has recorded 1017 new cases of novel coronavirus, highest in the past 24 hours.
As per details, The total number of cases in the province is now 18,964. The province also recorded 17 deaths, taking the toll to 316. About 127 patients are in critical condition and 32 are on ventilators, the chief minister said.
