Sindh Information Minister Nasir Hussain Shah said that it has been decided to allow congregation prayers for Shab-e-Qadr, Jumu’atul-Widaa and Eid prayers.

Addressing a press conference in Karachi along with other provincial ministers, Nasir Hussain Shah said that all the provinces would abide by the notification received from the federal government today (May 20).

He said that ulema are agreed on  20-point which will be followed during the congregations prayers.

Nasir Hussain Shah said that we ask the opposition to come and work together. The Chief Minister of Sindh consulted with all parties.

After him, Sindh government spokesman Murtaza Wahab said that since the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) came to power, every single step of theirs has been negating their claims.

He said that the federal government has decided to unilaterally change the representatives of IRSA, which is a complete violation of the constitution and law.

Murtaza Wahab said that the provisions of the IRSA Act make it clear that the provinces must be consulted if the federal government wants to change a member.

“We will write a letter to the federal government in this regard and express our concerns. If the federation does not reverse this decision, we will go to court,” the spokesman said.

Murtaza Wahab said that the standard operating procedures (SOPs) need to be followed, the only way to prevent coronavirus is social distance.
