Coronavirus: Pakistan tops 171,577 cases with 3,382 deaths

The countrywide tally of coronavirus cases has spiked up to 171,577 after 6,604 new infections were detected in Pakistan over the past 24 hours while 153 more people lost their lives due to the deadly disease.

Province Wise Cases:

According to data released by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 64,216 cases have been detected in Punjab, 65,163 in Sindh, 20,790 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 9,162 in Balochistan, 10,279 in Islamabad, 803 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 1,253 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Deaths:

With 153 more Covid-19 related fatalities recorded over the past 24 hours, the total death toll in the country has soared to 3,382.

New Cases and Tests:

A total of 6,604 new cases were detected when 31,681 tests were conducted during this period.

Recoveries

The number of people battling the dangerous virus has reached 63,504. So far, 1,042,787
tests have been conducted across the country.

Global coronavirus cases

The novel coronavirus has killed at least 456,630 people across the world.

At least 8,555,330 COVID-19 cases have been registered in 196 countries and territories. Of these, at least 3,952,400 are considered recovered.
