As many as 7,882 incidents of violation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) were reported across the country.
According to data released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), more than 1,070 markets were sealed in 24 hours for violating SOPs issued to prevent coronavirus.
In the federal capital Islamabad, 14 shops were sealed and 2 vehicles were fined for 16 violations of SOPs.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 3,252 violations of SOPs were reported. In which 105 vehicles and 178 shops were sealed or fined.
In Punjab, 2,172 violations of SOPs were reported in which 618 shops and 816 vehicles were sealed. In Azad Kashmir, 63 vehicles and 53 shops were sealed or fined for 390 violations.
According to the NCOC, 203 vehicles and 95 shops were sealed or fined for 786 violations in Balochistan. 183 violations of SOPs were reported in Gilgit-Baltistan. In which 88 markets and 23 vehicles were sealed.
On Saturday as well, 709 markets, shops and 2 industries across the country were sealed for violating SOPs.
Coronavirus Cases in Pakistan
The number of positive coronavirus cases in Pakistan has surged to 202,955. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 4,118.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 4,072 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 in 24 hours.
