Health Advisor Dr Zafar Mirza has said that corona cases are decreasing in the country.
According to details, addressing a meeting of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on National Health Services, Zafar Mirza said that the number of corona patients in hospitals in the country was declining.
Briefing the committee, Dr Zafar Mirza said that by the grace of Allah, the number of corona cases in the country is decreasing, the number of patients on ventilators is also decreasing and 40% of the ventilators in the health sector of Pakistan have not been used.
Dr Zafar Mirza said during the briefing that 31,000 tests were done on June 14 and 22,000 corona tests were done on July 1.
The committee members said that they have reduced the testing, there would be at least 40,000 tests on July 1, and the ability to test has been reduced.
The committee members further said that if there are 1.2 or 1.4 million positive cases in Pakistan, then SOPs should be implemented.
Replying to the committee, Zafar Mirza said that when I come to this committee, I feel that we are doing everything wrong, it seems that we are insensitive people, we are not doing anything.
He said that during the last 70 years, the health budget has been less than one percent of the total GDP.
