Zaara Abbas, the widow of BOL News anchor Mureed Abbas, said on Wednesday that she has rejected a second offer of reparation from her husband’s killers.

In a video message posted on Twitter, Zara Abbas said Atif Zaman, the man who murdered her husband, and his brother Adil Zaman had reached out to her to end the case by accepting money from them.

Earlier this month, death anniversary of our beloved News anchor Mureed Abbas was being observed July 09.

Mureed Abbas was shot dead in Khayaban-e-Bukhari area of Defense last year and accused Atif Zaman, who was allegedly involved in the incident, also tried to commit suicide.

Mureed Abbas’s journalistic career spans nearly a decade. He belonged to Mianwali but received education from DHA College, Karachi.

Mureed Abbas started his career with Business Plus in 2007 after which he joined the team of Sama TV, and then in 2017, he became a part of BOL News as a News Anchor.

According to the police investigation, Atif Zaman from Balakot was involved in the tire business while a container was seized from him this year, causing him a loss of Rs 50 million and the people who had invested with him Constantly demanding money.

As per the latest development, Zara Abbas reached the Supreme Court to seek justice. The court fixed the hearing of the appeal against the release on bail of Adil Zaman.
