National Assembly session opposes to open OPDs

The government opposed the immediate opening of OPDs in the hpspitals.

According to details, in the National Assembly session chaired by Speaker Asad Qaiser, Parliamentary Secretary for Health Noshin Hamid said that people are very busy in OPDs, opening of OPDs is likely to spread Coronavirus cases.

Parliamentary Secretary for Health Noshin Hamid further said that OPDs have been closed on the recommendation of WHO, corona cases are decreasing and if the NCOC gives instructions, they will reopen them.

Addressing the National Assembly session, Ali Awan said that PIMS and polyclinic are two hospitals in a population of 2.2 million while patients are facing difficulties due to closure of OPDs.

Ali Awan also said that the people of Islamabad and surrounding areas are suffering so the operation theater should be opened.
