Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan said that the initiative of establishing national parks will create employment opportunities for people across all provinces.
According to the details, the Prime Minister addressed a ceremony held at the PM House today (Thursday), where Adviser to the PM on Climate Change Malik Ameen Aslam also briefed about the national park projects.
PM stressed the importance of involving the local youth in their maintenance to ensure parks are preserved.
Imran Khan quoted Chitral as an example where the local population involved and preserved ibexes, which in turn, helped them secure jobs.
Furthermore, he said “Pakistan faces a big danger from climate changes and global warming,”adding that the government aims to plant 10bn trees to protect and preserve the environment.
