The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has accepted the Oil Tankers Association’s demand for fare hike.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has increased fares for long routes by 9.6%.
OGRA spokesperson said that the fare of tankers with a capacity of more than 40,000 liters has been increased. The fare from depot to petrol pump has been deregulated.
The OGRA spokesperson further said that oil marketing companies can fix the fares on short routes automatically. If necessary, the fares can be revised after two years.
The fare hike will take effect on August 1, 2020.
