Now Japan can also have the taste of Pakistani mangoes this year as the country has allowed Pakistan to export the king of fruits.
The export of mangoes was allowed under temporary arrangements due to the unavailability of Japanese inspectors in Pakistan amid the coronavirus pandemic.
According to the Japanese embassy in Pakistan, last year 120 tons of mangoes were exported from Pakistan to Japan, which is a record and shows how Pakistani mangoes are adapted in Japanese markets.
In general, the export of Pakistani mangoes to Japan is subject to Japanese inspector approval. Nevertheless, Pakistani mangoes were allowed to be exported this year under temporary arrangements without Japanese inspectors’ permission.
