Prime Minister Imran Khan has arrived Lahore on a day-long visit today (Saturday) to hold important meetings.
During the visit, PM Imran Khan met Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar at CM House. Usman Buzdar briefed the PM about the supply and stability of flour and wheat prices in the province.
He also detailed about the steps taken by the Punjabl government to curb the spread of novel coronavirus.
The Chief Minister also took the Prime Minister into confidence on the projects in Balochistan with collaboration of Punjab government.
Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed satisfaction over the steps taken by the Punjab government for the relief of the people.
PM Imran said that Punjab government did an excellent job in stopping the spread of novel Coronavirus. “We have overcome the difficult time”, said the premier.
Moreover, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar will also hold a meeting with Prime Minister and brief him on Aab Pak Authority and other welfare measures.
Provincial Health Minister Dr. Yasmeen Rashid will also brief the premier on the development project in the health sector.
PM Imran will attend the launching ceremony of an international brand. He will also plant a tree under the monsoon tree-planting campaign.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Imran Khan laid the foundation stone of Quaid-e-Azam Business Park in Sheikhupura here on Saturday.
Provincial Industries and Trade Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal detailed the Prime Minister about the project.
Quaid-e-Azam Business Park covers an area of 536 acres. The park used to work for garments before, now other businesses will also be allowed there.
According to the details, the launch of Quaid-e-Azam Business Park will create 500,000 jobs from the very beginning and an investment of Rs250 billion is expected.
The business park will have great investment opportunities. However, the investors will get tax exemption for the first ten years.
For the first time in business, there will be no duty on plant and machinery, sources said.
