The Punjab Chief Minister has announced a special allowance for rescue personnel on corona duty.
According to details, the Punjab Chief Minister has approved to give Corona allowance to the rescue personnel and to give martyrdom package to the rescue employees who were martyred in the line of duty. The Punjab government has issued a notification in this regard.
Sardar Usman Bazdar said that special allowance will be given to the rescue personnel on corona duty from April 1, the officers and personnel of the emergency service will be given equal remuneration.
According to the Punjab Chief Minister, the rescue workers on duty will continue to get special allowance till the end of the epidemic, Rs 4 million will be given to the heirs of martyred employees up to grade 16 while Rs 8 million will be given to the families of grade 17 and above officers.
He said that the recommendations of the special committee for giving martyr package would be followed. He appreciated the services of rescue workers on duty.
The total number of novel coronavirus cases in Pakistan has risen to 228421, after new cases reported in the country.
