Punjab govt decides to tighten lockdown in Lahore
Punjab government decides to seal seven more areas of Lahore today to fight against coronavirus.
According to the details, in view of the results of smart sampling, it was decided to seal more areas of the city.
After the approval of the Chief Minister, the Health Department will issue the notification tonight at 12 noon.
The decision was taken by the Chief Minister after the results of the smart sampling conducted by the district administration in the last three weeks were positive.
It was later decided to lockdown seven more areas of the city.
These areas include Township A2 Block, DHA, EME, Wapda Town, which includes each Town C Block, Chongi Amrsadho Main Bazaar and adjoining population, Punjab Government Scheme and Green City.

Earlier, Coronavirus pandemic has infected the SHOs of Lahore. 6 SHOs of the city have been positive for COVID-19.
According to details, SHO Lari Ada and SHO Ghaziabad became infected with Coronavirus while SHO Baghbanpura Mohammad Raza, SHO Defense B Mohammad Asad, SHO Nayyar Nisar and SHO Sarwar Road Shoaib Khan also contracted the virus.
All the SHOs were quarantined in their homes in self-isolation while seven police personnel have been martyred so far in the Coronavirus epidemic.
