Eid-ul-Adha 2020: Ruet-e-Hilal Committee gathers for Zilhajj moon sighting

The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has gathered to sight the moon of Zilhajj today. The meeting has already started at 6:00 pm.

The meeting is chaired by Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman, with meetings of the zonal committees taking place at the headquarters of the provinces.

As per details, the meeting has been carried out at the Meteorological Department’s office in Karachi. Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz has also joined to attend the meeting.

According to details, the meeting of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will decide whether to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha on 31st July or August 1st.

The sighting of the moon will be decided after receiving evidence from all over the country.

Earlier, Federal Minister of Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry had said that Pakistan will celebrate Eid-ul-Adha on July 31st “as per Ministry of Science and Technology ‘s calendar.”
