The Azad Jammu & Kashmir has announced to reopen tourism spots following Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkwa.
Midhat Shehzad, the tourism secretary said that the decision was made after controlling coronavirus situation in AJK. However, tourists will have to follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Shehzad said that in the first phase, tourists’ families and groups will be permitted to visit the scenic destinations in the AJK valley. He added that the government will try its level best to provide possible facilities to them.
It should be mentioned here that the federal government had announced to reopen tourism spots in Punjab, KP, and Gilgit-Baltistan from August 8.
