British Airways has resumed the air operations in Pakistan.
According to details, British Airways resumed its air operations in Pakistan. British Airways flight BA 261 reached Islamabad from London.
Special arrangements were made for the arrival of British Airways at Islamabad Airport while the passengers were subjected to health counter screening and medical examination. The staff of the British Embassy was also present on the occasion.
British embassy officials described the arrangements at the airport as satisfactory.
Earlier, in late July, British Airways decided to resume air operations to Pakistan.
It may be recalled that British Airways had earlier requested the Pakistani authorities to assure them of the completion of the arrangements and British Airways had also sought details of the arrangements from the Islamabad Airport Manager.
The British Airways was asked to inform about the cleanliness and other facilities at Islamabad Airport. In addition, the gates and other conditions used by the British Airways should be informed and the safety of the fixed bridges for the aircraft should be confirmed.
It may be recalled that the Chief Operating Officer of British Airways had a meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan in June last year, after which the flight of British Airways was resumed in Pakistan and 11 years later the flight of British Airways came to Pakistan which had suspended air operations due to the Coronavirus epidemic.
