Police registered a case on Thursday against a man and his sons who allegedly murdered 11 members of their own family on Wednesday reportedly over a land dispute in Sukkur district’s Pano Aqil tehsil.

A case was registered on the complaint of the suspect’s brother Mahmood-ul-Hasan at the Cantt Station.

Wahab, his sons Kaleemullah, Habibullah, and Mujeebullah have been named as primary suspects in the first information report (FIR), police said.

The main suspects, Abdul Wahab, allegedly confessed to murdering 11 members of his own family, including women and children to frame rivals over a land dispute.

The FIR includes provisions related to murder and terrorism.

Police on Wednesday had said the suspect along with his sons had confessed to killing their family members.

The plan to kill the family members was allegedly hatched by the “man of the house”, police said after taking the statements of the suspects.

Among the victims were the wife of the primary suspect, four daughters, and three sons, as well as a daughter-in-law, granddaughter, and grandson.

According to the senior superintendent of police (SSP) for Sukkur, Irfan Sammo, the four sons of the prime suspect “aided and abetted the murders and have confessed to doing so”.

The suspects allegedly killed all of their family members at the same time, Sammo said.

The suspects were arrested from Ghotki, where they had allegedly fled after the killings.
