Sindh govt made public investigation reports of Uzair Baloch, Baldia factory and Nisar Morai
KARACHI: The Sindh government has made public the joint investigation reports (JITs)...
Lyari gang leader Uzair Baloch has been indicted by an Anti Terrorism Court on Wednesday for murdering gangster Arshad Pappu.
According to the reports, Baloch however, has denied the charges.
The court has ordered the prosecution to present its witnesses at the next hearing. An amended charge-sheet was filed, adding Baloch’s name to the case.
Uzair Baloch has requested the judge who recorded his confessional statement to appear before the ATC.
He wants him to submit an affidavit and be interrogated regarding his confession. He had previously denied ever recording a confessional statement.
A case was registered against Baloch at the Kalakot police station for murdering three people, including Arshad Pappu, in 2013.
It should be noted that earlier the Sindh Government rejected the allegations of Federal Minister for Shipping and Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi concerning differences in investigation report of Uzair Baloch which was made public by Sindh Government on Monday (July 6, 2020).
Sindh Government Spokesperson Murtaza Wahab said while addressing a press conference, “we promised to public the JIT report and have done exactly that.”
Murtaza said that the Sindh government showed the documents with all the signatures, adding that JITs, which consist of one head and several members, were formed on the directives issued by the sindh government.
He questioned, if a document does not have all the signatures, where did it come from, who gave it to them?
Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi has revealed that the Sindh government meddled with Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report on Lyari gang war kingpin Uzair Baloch to exclude certain names.
Ali Zaidi has appealed Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Gulzar Ahmed to take suo motu notice of Uzair Baloch Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report.
