Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired a high-level meeting on the “Karachi Transformation Plan” for a permanent solution to city’s problems.
According to the details, Federal Minister for Planning, Development, Reforms and Special Initiatives Asad Umar, Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi, and Sindh Governor Imran Ismail participated in the meeting through video link
Chairman NDMA Lieutenant General Muhammad Afzal, Secretaries of relevant Ministries and Senior Officers also participated in the meeting.
In the meeting, the Prime Minister was briefed on Karachi issues, water, sewerage, drainage, solid waste management.
The Prime Minister was also briefed on the problems faced by the people regarding transport. The Ministers then proposed the “Karachi Transformation Plan” for the permanent solution to these problems.
A special presentation was also given to Prime Minister Imran Khan by the Planning Ministry in this regard.
