Sindh government has approved on Thursday, creating a new district in the city.

According to the details, Sindh Cabinet with Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah in chair met today and approved the bifurcation of districts in Karachi.

Kemari has been declared as the 7th district of Karachi division, Whereas South district has been renamed as district Karachi.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister of Sindh said that the term of the Coalition Government is coming to an end on August 28.

Local governments in Sindh are going to complete their term, while local governments in other provinces have not completed their term.

He said we work for democracy and will continue to work to strengthen it.

Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah said the mayor of Karachi was allowed to work even from jail.

During the meeting, the Sindh Chief Minister also took the Cabinet members into confidence at the consultative meeting to be held in Islamabad.

According to the spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s House, the Sindh Cabinet, while approving the formation of Kemari district in Karachi, directed to estimate all the districts and propose delimitations.

There are 7 subdivisions in district West. Kemari district will include the site, Baldia, Fish Harbour, and Mauripur areas.
