On Tuesday, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has had a meeting with the delegation of Huawei in Islamabad to talk about the country’s IT sector.
According to the details, PM said that there are vast and attractive opportunities for investment in the IT sector all over the world including Pakistan.
In the meeting, the Prime Minister said that transparency, speed, and improvement can be brought in the system of government through IT facilities.
During the meeting, the delegation said that Huawei would provide IT training to 1,000 federal employees in Pakistan and also provide modern IT training to Pakistani university students.
In the meeting, the Federal Minister for IT, Trade Adviser, Chairman Board of Investment, Chairman PTA were also included.
It is pertinent to mention here that on August 21, Hammad Azhar, Minister of Industries and Production had announced that the South Korean tech giant Samsung is thinking to set up a “smartphone assemble plant in Pakistan”.
Azhar broke the news through a tweet and wrote,
“Smartphone production in Pak is multiplying following DIRBS implementation and Mobile Policy launched recently. Met with the Samsung Pakistan MD and CEO.”
He continued to say that,
“They appreciated both policies and are now actively considering setting up a smartphone assembly plant in Pakistan.”
