IED attack on Pak Army troops in North Waziristan

Pakistan Army shots down Indian quadcopter

On Thursday, terrorists planted a roadside IED which exploded on Pak Army troops, who were providing protection to road construction teams working in the Ghariom sector on Road Shaga – Nishpa in North Waziristan.

According to ISPR, Lieutenant Nasir Hussain Khalid, a 23-year-old resident of Muzafarabad, 33-year-old Naik Muhammad Imran, a resident of Faisalabad, and Sepoy Usman Akhtar, embraced martyrdom, while 4 soldiers got injured.


Pak Army cordoned off the area. On the other hand, a search operation is being carried out for area clearance.

It should be mentioned here that on August 31st of this year, three Pakistan Army soldiers embraced martyrdom in South Waziristan.

As per the statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the three martyred soldiers lost their lives after terrorists fired at security forces’ blocking position during the search operation.
