Zardari makes opening Speech

In his opening remarks, the ex-president said that the opposition must devise a strategy to end the PTI regime.

Asif Ali Zardari who is currently facing corruption charges and out on bail due to health conditions, said “Democracy comes first, then prosperity.”

He criticized the government over what he called were “tactics” to suppress the opposition and media.

Asif Ali Zardari said that “We tried to save democracy in the country for past two years. The first necessity to run a democratic state is democracy. We have raised voice for Balochistan and have been speaking for Punjab and South Punjab,”

Nawaz Says Democracy in Danger

After Zardari, Nawaz Sharif while addressing the APC said this all parties conference is the turning point in Pakistani politics and major decisions must be taken for the betterment of Pakistan.

The former premier said democracy is when people are allowed to bring their opinions forward. According to the law, our democratic system relies on the opinions and say of the people.

“The democratic systems around the world follow the same principle. When public votes are not respected and the verdict is decided even before the elections, then we can guess how the people of this country are deceived and dodged by the authorities.”

Bilawal Bhutto urges for timely action

Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari while addressing APC said that we have to go against the government by making the new Charter of Democracy.

The people of Pakistan are suffering from economic hardships and today the people are looking at us. If there is no democracy in this country, the rights of the people will be robbed.

He said that crime is on the rise in society and the voice of the people is not being heard due to a lack of elected representatives. He continued that we tried hard to hold APC before the Budget 2020. Bilawal Bhutto said that people do not want statements and resolutions from APC but a concrete strategy and when there is no democracy in the country, society is weakened from all sides. In two years, our society has suffered a lot and crime has increased in the country.

He said that people were left destitute during the historic rains in Sindh whereas in the past PPP has always supported people in the time of need.

Shehbaz wants Probe against PTI

PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif after taking the mic said the government has failed miserably. He said that it would be a crime to keep silent against the non-democratic government.

He said that Revenge is being taken in the name of accountability. The floods wreaked havoc in the country and the Prime Minister was unable to help the people. Elections of 2018 were politically engineered.
