Motorway gang Rape

In a major development in the Motorway Gang Rape case, police have recorded the initial statement of the wife of main suspect Abid Malhi – still at large after eight days of the incident.

According to the details, Bushra Bibi, wife of the main accused in the motorway gang rape case Abid Ali, said that he looked worried when he returned home after the incident and fled when he was identified.

Bushra Bibi further maintained that she is not aware of her husband’s present location.

Police had arrested Bushra Bibi – a resident of tehsil Tandlianwala, district Faisalabad – today.

She performed second marriage with the suspect and has four children from her first marriage and one daughter with Abid.

Bushra Bibi and Abid had escaped when the authorities made an attempt to arrest the accused in Sheikhupura.

Their daughter is in police custody after the parents abandoned her while escaping police.

The police had also claimed to have arrested five relatives of the prime suspect in the case in operation, last night.

FIA blacklists Abid

On the other hand, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) blacklisted the main accused, Abid Ali.

The police, out of fear of him escaping the country, requested the FIA to put his name on the blacklist.

The investigation agency had already sent the data of the accused to airports and border security checkpoints across the country.

An accomplice of Ali’s in the crime, Shafqat Ali, has already been arrested and was sent on a 14-day judicial remand on September 15.

The police stated that the headquarters and Lahore police should be immediately informed if any information regarding the suspect is received.
