Progress has been achieved in the Lahore motorway rape case on Saturday as one of the suspect’s DNA has matched with the samples taken from the victim.
According to sources, the suspect, Abid Ali’s DNA sample was already present in the Forensic Science Agency’s DNA bank, which matched the samples taken from the motorway rape victim.
After a few hours, another accused involved in the motorway gang rape has also been identified. According to police sources, the second suspect is identified as Waqarul Hassan.
The sources further revealed that both of the suspects started to commit robberies in Punjab’s different districts. Both the identified suspects started to commit crimes from an early age that is why no case could be registered against them.
A Lahore CIA team cordoned off the accused’s camp. There is a possibility to arrest both the accused as soon as possible.
It should be mentioned here that on Tuesday night, two robbers had gang-raped a woman who was with her children, on the motorway within Gujjarpura police’s jurisdiction.
