The opposition has decided to stage a mass protest movement against the Federal Government, BOL News has learned. The APC has demanded the Prime Minister to resign.

According to the media reports, the opposition will start the anti-government protests officially from the first week of October. The sources further stated the opposition will have public rallies and mass protests.

The decision came out as a result of the All Parties Conference in Islamabad.

The sources further stated that the opposition will stage a long march in January 2021.

Action Plan 

The APC of the united opposition-held at Islamabad today has released its action plan.

In a press briefing held after the APC, the united opposition alliance announced to hold protest rallies across the country and demanded the resignation of the Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The opposition announced that Lawyers, businessmen, students, farmers, laborers, civil society, and the media will be kept involved in the protest movement against the government.

According to the press briefing, in the first phase of the protests, in the month of October and November protests will be held in the provincial capitals of the Country (Karachi, Quetta, Peshawar, and Lahore).

In the second phase of protests, in December 2020 nation wide mass protests will be held. While the final stage of the protest will be the long march in January 2021.

The press briefing was jointly addressed by the JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazl Ur Rehman, PML-N leader, and the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif, and the PPP chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
