The Pakistan Army started military training exercises in Rahim Yar Khan and Saleh Pat.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan Army started military training exercises in Rahim Yar Khan and Saleh pat. Troops from Karachi and Panu Aqil garrison participated in the exercise.

Earlier this week, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa had visited Field Firing Ranges near Jhelum to witness a demonstration of state of the art, Chinese origin third-generation Main Battle Tank VT-4.

According to ISPR, COAS had expressed satisfaction over the demonstrated performance of Tank VT-4, another addition to the inventory of Armoured Corps after the recent induction of indigenously produced Al-Khalid-1 Tank.

According to ISPR, Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Humayun Aziz overviewed the training exercises.

ISPR said Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Humayun Aziz appreciated the operational readiness and quality of training.

Pakistan Saudi Arabia Joint Drills

In February this year, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia conducted their joint counterterrorism exercise in Hafar Al-Batin in the kingdom’s Eastern Province.

The two-week Al-Samsam VII training between the Royal Saudi Land Forces (RSLF) and Pakistan Army troops commenced in the presence of RSLF northern region commander Maj. Gen. Saleh bin Ahmed Al-Zahrani.

“The exercise came as a part of the preparations to develop and raise the level of competence of military forces,” Maj. Gen. Mansour Al-Qarni, commander of the training.

According to Brig. Gen. Munawer bin Mohammed Al-Harbi of the RSLF’s training department, the drills come in line with reinforcing military cooperation between the two countries

He added that the RSLF is keen to ensure the exercises continue in order to raise combat readiness for ground forces.
