Commenting on the clashes in Azerbaijan and Armenia, the Foreign Office spokesman said that Pakistan stands by Azerbaijan and supports its right to self-defence.
According to details, a statement issued by the Foreign Office said that Pakistan is concerned about the tensions in Nagorno-Karabakh, Pakistan has reiterated its support for Azerbaijan.
The Foreign Office spokesman said that Pakistan was concerned about the deteriorating security situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh region and strongly condemned the shelling by the Armenian forces on the civilian population of Azerbaijan.
The Foreign Office said that peace and security in the entire region could be at stake, adding that Armenia should immediately suspend its military operations to end the tension.
“We support Azerbaijan’s position on Nagorno-Karabakh,” the Foreign Office spokesman added.

Tensions mounted between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh since July 12, but fierce clashes have been raging between the two countries since last night, killing people on both sides.
