A heated argument broke out on Friday during the session of Senate between Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz PML-N Senator Mushahidullah Khan and Muttahida Qaumi Movement MQM Senator Mian Ateeq Sheikh.
According to the details, the session was chaired by Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani. However, it all started when Mian Ateeq interrupted in Mushahidullah Khan’s speech.
Their fight devolved into curse words being hurled at each other. They also threatened each other.
Other senators present in the session tried to intervene but to all in vain.
Leader of the Opposition Senator Zafarul Haq in Senate asked Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani to stop the fight between the two and take steps to prevent such an environment from being created. Senator Mohammad Saif said they were disrespecting the entire House.
Much of their arguments were censored due to their abusive language.
Senate Briefed about Covid-19
It is pertinent to mention here that the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan said due to prudent policies of government Pakistan has curtailed the spread of Covid-19.
He said the world has acknowledged Pakistan’s efforts to overcome the pandemic. He lauded the services rendered by doctors and paramedics during the fight against corona.
The Minister of State said the government is making all-out efforts to maintain the standard of laboratories.
He said 140 million persons were assisted financially through the Ehsaas emergency cash program. The Minister said the government did not gain any political mileage for providing this historic relief in the pandemic.
He said the distribution cash was carried out without any political bias.
Seerat Chairs
Minister for Federal Education Shafqat Mahmood told the House that Prime Minister has directed to aware students about life of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Sallallaho Alaihe Wa Salam Khatam-un-Nabiyyin.
He said that in this regard out of nine, three Seerat Chairs have been established in the different Public Sector universities.
Responding to a question, Minister for Communication Murad Saeed says two service areas have been constructed on Lahore-Abdul Hakeem Motorway. He said services area Tandlianwaala is functional while Muridwala service area will be made functional by this month.
