The Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Youth Development Program (BBSYDP) is a Government of Sindh training program for young unemployed people.
It is a Government of Sindh initiative that aims to provide opportunities for skill development to approximately 100,000 semi-literate and educated unemployed youth in Sindh for a period varying between 3 months to one year.
The unemployed youth will be offered various skill development opportunities and job oriented certification courses to adapt to local and international job markets.
This will help contain poverty and improve the socio-economic conditions of common citizens. In addition, the public and private sector business efficiency will increase through a well-placed, developed and skilled workforce.
BBSYDP focuses on developing human resources in Sindh province by empowering youth (aged between 18-35 years) with employable skill sets. It was initiated in 2008-09 by the government of Sindh.
A major chunk of the youth in Sindh is unable to get itself employed just because they do not have the competent skills to compete in the job market. The BBSYDP is a skills development program to produce skillful youth and promote employment generation.
