Ambassador of the Royal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan H.E Admiral (retd) Nawaf Bin Said Al-Maliki met with Chief of the Naval Staff
(CNS) Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi in Naval Headquarters in Islamabad.
According to the Spokesperson Pakistan Navy, Saudi Ambassador and Naval Chief discussed issues of mutual interest.
The Naval Chief and Saudi Ambassador discussed the security situation in the region and bilateral maritime cooperation. The Saudi Ambassador congratulated the Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi on assuming command of the Pakistan Navy.
Earlier the President of Pakistan conferred Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military) upon Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi, in recognition of his meritorious services for defence of the country and development of Pak Navy. The special ceremony for the award of NI(M) was held at Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad.

President Alvi congratulated the new Naval Chief on assuming office. During the meeting, the President said that the Pakistan Navy has a key role to play in defending Pakistan’s maritime borders.
Pakistan Navy is playing an important role in safeguarding the country’s economic interests by providing security to Gwadar Port and China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Moreover, the President expressed his confidence that the Pakistan Navy under the leadership of Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi will achieve many more milestones as it has earned in past.
