Pakistan Muslim League-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that the government is using National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to arrest opposition parties leaders.

Addressing media in Islamabad, Marriyum Aurangzeb said that NAB officials were shouting and demanding further remand of Pakistan Muslim League-N President Shehbaz Sharif today even though Shehbaz Sharif has submitted full details of his assets.

Maryam Aurangzeb said that baseless cases have been made against Shehbaz Sharif, not a single case has been proved against him. Who will respond to Shehbaz Sharif’s media trial?

The PML-N spokesperson said that the government was engaged in reprisals against political opponents. Shehbaz Sharif was of the view that if corruption was proved, he would quit politics.

Shehbaz Sharif sent to jail on remand

Lahore Accountability Court sent Shehbaz Sharif to the Kot Lakhpat Jail on 14-day judicial remand.

The court conducted proceedings on the money laundering case against the Shehbaz Sharif.

Let it be known that the court had extended physical remand of PML- N President till October 20 during the previous hearing.
