Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that India will fail to blacklist Pakistan in the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

Talking to media in Islamabad, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that India wanted to blacklist us but it will fail in its intentions as the world has admitted that we are not involved in financing terrorists and also Pakistan has taken assistance and measures at all levels to curb money laundering. The government has implemented 21 out of 28 points of the action plan.

“Article 370 of the Indian Constitution on Kashmir has no place in our eyes and Pakistan does not recognize illegal and unilateral measures at all, but we are deeply concerned about India’s efforts to change the demographic ratio in the occupied valley,” he said.

We are not oblivious to the resolutions of the United States. Our historical point of view is in front of everyone. We do not want to take any hasty step which would weaken our position on Kashmir, the Minister stated.

He said that there was a need for consultation at the national level regarding the future of Gilgit-Baltistan. Some forces were fomenting insurgency thereby realizing the importance of Gilgit-Baltistan for the CPEC.
