The much delayed Orange Line Metro Train service will be operational in Lahore from Sunday.

According to the details, the relevant departments have already been directed to make necessary arrangements.

The Orange Line Metro Train will complete 27 kilometers of distance from Ali Town to Dera Gujran in 45 minutes.

It will pass through the congested areas of the city where more than 250,000 passengers will travel on a daily basis through this facility.

The Punjab Transport Department has notified fare for Lahore Orange Line Metro Train (OLMT). Passengers will have to pay Rs40 for a one-way train trip.

Let it be known that the Orange line project is a rapid transit system under construction in Punjab’s capital Lahore. The line will span 27.1 km (16.8 mi) with 25.4 km (15.8 mi) elevated and 1.72 km (1.1 mi) underground.

The line will be served by 26 stations and is expected to handle 250,000 passengers daily, traveling via trains. Though it is frequently mentioned as a part of the wider China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the Orange line is being financed by the Government of Punjab.
