Maryam Nawaz has millions of fake followers on Twitter says Fayyaz

Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan has said that Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) Vice President Maryam Nawaz has millions of fake followers on her Twitter account.

According to the details, in his recent statement, the Information Minister of Punjab revealed that out of 5 million followers of Begum Safdar Awan, 80% are fake. He said that most of the followers never liked any tweet.

Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan said that from the total followers of Maryam Nawaz, 2 million 37 thousand followers does not exist in reality. Whereas,1898 followers created their Twitter accounts in a single day.

Earlier Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf on its official twitter handle shared an online analysis of Maryam Nawaz’s Twitter account that revealed the systematic use of online bot accounts (or fake accounts).

According to the analysis, out of a total of 5,592,493 followers on her Twitter account, it can be observed that approximately 1 million accounts have no followers whatsoever, 743,906 accounts have only a single follower, and 1,439,946 accounts have between 2 to 5 followers; which leaves approximately 2,408,000 followers that could potentially be termed as partially organic in nature.
