Nawaz Sharif is an indicted criminal, says Asad Umar

On Sunday, Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar bashed PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and said that he had issues with the institutions and not individuals.

Umar responded to Sharif’s speech delivered at the PDM Gujranwala jalsa, where he criticized the state institutions and the government.

Asad Umar said while addressing a press conference with Federal Minister Ali Zaidi,

“Mian sahib, your threats won’t work now. The time for questions has passed, and now you have to answer.”

He went in to say that,

“India’s narrative will not sell anymore”.

“If you are truly brave, why couldn’t you speak about [Indian spy] Kulbhushan Jadhav […] Why don’t you lash out at India?” he asked.

Umar highlighted that the PML-N supremo had started talking about democracy after he “saw failure” everywhere else.

Criticizing Nawaz Sharif for asking questions directly in his address at certain powerful people, Umar said,

“You [Nawaz] are an indicted criminal, you do not get to ask questions.”

The Federal Minister also talked about Imran Khan’s speech to the Tiger Force on Friday where he mentioned Maryam Nawaz, Umar said,

“Nani [grandmother] is a relationship of immense respect; has the prime minister said anything wrong?”

Asad Umar also welcomed the Opposition leaders to Karachi who have arrived in the metropolitan for the second PMD Jalsa at Bagh-e-Jinnah ground.
