The brand new Orange Line Metro Train project was planned under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. Its inauguration was in Lahore on 25th October. This project is said to be a ‘culmination of Pakistan-China friendship’ that initiated with the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
The metro stations have automatic machines placed to check and recharge card balance.
The trains will run from 07:30 am till 08:30 pm. A one-way ticket fare costs 40 Pakistani rupees.
The Orange Line Metro Train has 26 stations and the tracks are of about 27.12kms.
The metro is expected to lessen the load of transport on Multan Road and provide ‘world-class’ facilities to the residents of Lahore.
