The PML-N vice-leader Maryam Nawaz addresses the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) rally in Karachi. Maryam Nawaz opened her speech by thanking the citizens of Karachi for their warm welcome and said,
“Today, I found no difference in the roads of Lahore and Karachi. I am overwhelmed by your love.”
Maryam visited Karachi after a long time period and recalled meeting with Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
“When I came to Karachi today, I thought of Benazir Bhutto. I met her once, for 3 hours, in Saudi Arabia. She ate with me. She spoke to me like a mother.”
Before criticizing Imran Khan, the PML-N Vice President appreciated CM Sindh, Murad Ali Shah’s efforts to control coronavirus in the province.
“I pay tribute to Murad Ali Shah’s Corona services.”
Earlier on 17th October, Prime Minister Imran Khan criticized the PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif for his PDM Gujranwala speech at the Tiger Force conference, in response, Maryam said,
“Yesterday a man [Imran Khan] was screaming and mourning his failure. You started to panic after our [PDM] first rally. We know you’re under pressure.”
She went on to say,
“For God’s sake, you should have kept the lodge of Prime Minister chair. If you don’t know how to handle the pressure, learn it from Nawaz Sharif.”
She highlighted how Imran Khan insulted her for being a grandmother, as he called her a “Naani”.
“Imran Khan made fun of grandmothers. Well, I am a grandmother. And my grandchildren give me joy when I am tired.”
Moving forward, Maryam said that she does not consider Imran Khan as the Prime Minister and called his government a “fake” government.
The PML-N leader also exposed Imran Khan’s corruption and said,
” Imran Khan BRT is your corruption.”
Maryam also challenged Imran Khan that if he will ban PML-N then he will also have to ban the people of Pakistan.
The Pakistan Democratic Movement PDM Karachi Jalsa is staged at Bagh-e-Jinnah in the metropolis today, to put pressure on the Imran Khan’s government.
The central leadership of PDM has addressed the rally. This includes JUI (F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz, PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, and others.
Three stages have been set up for the political power show, One for the main PDM leaders. Other two for senior leaders of opposition parties. Each stage is 160 feet long, 20 feet high, and 50 feet wide
