PM Summons Sindh Governor To Islamabad Over Karachi Situation

Prime Minister Imran Khan immediately summoned the Governor of Sindh to Islamabad over Karachi situation.

According to sources, after the current situation in Sindh, Prime Minister Imran Khan summoned Imran Ismail to Islamabad.

Meanwhile, all the officers of DIG rank including IG of Sindh Police submitted the application for leave while Additional IG of Special Branch Imran Yaqub also applied for leave for two months in which he stated that such Can’t work in the environment.

After IG, Additional IGs and DIGs, SSPs applied for leave.

Later, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, in a press conference with the Sindh Chief Minister, reacted strongly to the arrest of Captain Safdar and demanded that the Chief of Army Staff, DG ISI, investigate the incident.

A statement issued by the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) said that Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa took notice of the Karachi incident and directed Corps Commander Karachi to investigate.

The Army Chief directed Corps Commander Karachi to review all aspects and report immediately. According to ISPR, General Qamar Javed Bajwa directed that facts should be brought to light after reviewing the situation.
