Shibli Faraz, the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting has slammed the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and called it the “third part of the axis of evil with India and Israel against Pakistan.”
On Sunday, Faraz criticized the PDM Quetta Jalsa for attacking Pakistan’s integrity and institutions.
While talking to the media in Islamabad, the Federal Minister also condemned the slogan chanted by the Owais Noorani regarding Balochistan in the PDM Quetta rally held today.
On Sunday, the Jamiat-i-Pakistan (JUP) leader Maulana Shah Owais Noorani peddled the Indian narrative regarding Balochistan. Netizens criticized him over his remarks.
A video went viral on social media in which Noorani could be heard saying,
“We want Balochistan as an independent state. Today Balochistan looks like an underdeveloped area of the country.”
Shibli Faraz while commenting on the incident said,
“It is unfortunate that an absconder was allowed to make a speech and talk negatively about country’s institutions”.
He further said that instead of criticizing the state institutions, the opposition should have talked about the sanctity and respect of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) at the PDM Quetta rally.
The information minister also criticized Maryam Nawaz by saying,
“She [Maryam] and her father [Nawaz] should answer that how they made their assets abroad and how they laundered money.”
Shibli also took an aim at Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and said that Pakistan People’s Party has become a regional political party from the national party because of the corruption of its leadership.
“PPP has become a regional party and it will further reduce to just two districts,” the minister added.
